With the built environment accounting for some 50% of our CO2 emissions it is clear that all future designs should make every effort to incorporate the key ecobuild principles demonstrated in Earthship design. This will enable us to make the 60-90% CO2 reductions we need to make. It will also make it far easier to Carbon Balance the operating impact of our buildings. However we can also begin to look at the construction impact in CO2 terms and make use of tools to balance the building stage of our homes and offices.
