INTRODUCTION
This new project aims to help people save energy and buy into small scale power generation through a web based communications portal.
There is a knowledge gap on how to go about 'microgeneration'. Useful information sources and practical case studies, at the community level, are thin on the ground. The concept behind Our Generation is to fill this gap by providing access to user friendly information on all aspect of both microgeneration and the all essential first step of energy saving. Doing it and showing why, where and how inspires people.
In October, C LEVEL installed one of the first small scale wind turbines in the UK. The interest that this has generated has shaped the ideas behind the development of a pilot Our Generation project - this was recently highly commended at the South East Renewables Awards. C LEVEL, in association with project partners Neocreative and Brighton and Hove City Council, is now seeking a lead sponsor to fully develop the UK pilot.
